The International Entrepreneurship Center is a place where domestic and international early stage and emerging growth companies can find guidance, resources, and capital necessary to realize success. Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives (MBI) is a private non-profit corporation which operates three life science incubator laboratory facilities in Worcester. The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2) supports the state’s smaller medical device companies by offering access to researchers and resources at the UMass campuses in Lowell and Worcester. It provides fee-based services in the areas of business planning, product prototype development, and clinical pathway assistance. In addition, M2D2 offers incubator space and facilities to early-stage companies and individual entrepreneurs.

The Merrimack Valley Sandbox initiative aims to expand and strengthen the local ecosystem that supports innovative leaders and entrepreneurs in Lowell and Lawrence–thus accelerating economic activity and enhancing the quality of life. The Sandbox is working with area businesspeople and community leaders to encourage entrepreneurs to move from ideas to actual businesses. Mentors, expert speakers, and frequent gatherings help entrepreneurs accelerate their knowledge and give their ideas a better chance of success. Starting June 2013, the Sandbox will be offering co-working space for entrepreneurs in its offices in the Wannalancit building in Lowell.

Since joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) in January 2002, Taiwanese industry has faced increasingly strong competition, and companies have had to acquire new knowledge and develop new technology and new innovations to stay current and competitive. TechSandBox is an incubator in the heart of MetroWest at I-495 and I-90 with co-working and makerspace for sci-tech startups.

Programs are held several times a month for entrepreneurs and subject matter experts — business-side and technology-side—with birds-of-a-feather clusters for clean tech and energy, software (internet of things, IT, edtech, mobile, gaming), robotics and manufacturing (including sensors, MEMs, semiconductors), life sciences (medical devices. pharma, DNA, analytics). TechSandBox holds Experts on Site office hours where advisors help businesses with advice on challenges. Founded in 1994, Tufts' Biotechnology Transfer Center was established with support from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Small Business Administration to create a vibrant and growing biotechnology sector outside Boston. The Tufts incubator is part of the 106-acre Tufts Science Park, adjacent to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, MA. The school provides the research infrastructure and faculty resources that young companies need to get started.

Neighboring the MIT campus and steps away from the Red Line in the heart of Kendall Square, Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) is reportedly the largest flexible office facility for growing technology and life sciences companies in the Greater Boston area. The Cambridge Innovation Center offers start-up and emerging companies award-winning facilities and state-of-the-art business and technical services in a package which is designed to meet the needs of small and growing businesses. The UMass Lowell Innovation Hub provides startup programming and access to the UMass Lowell's faculty and research resources, as well as collaboration with mentors and sponsors. This space addresses the needs of "open innovation" startups by offering them needed work and laboratory space and access to office resources in the short term, rather than long-term business leases. Located in downtown Lowell's vibrant Hamilton Canal District, UMass Lowell's Innovation Hub provides access to dedicated offices and desks, coworking spaces, meeting and event locations, a prototyping and fabrication lab, support services and much more.
 
 
The Venture Development Center at the University of Massachusetts Boston ("VDC") provides a multi-faceted approach to help high-tech startups launch successfully. Located on the Red Line near Kendall Square, the VDC not only has 18,000 square feet of flexible space with office areas and move-in-ready dry and wet labs, but also has a team of professionals to offer business and intellectual property advice to help entrepreneurs build a well-balanced company. Laboratory, product development, and sales and marketing interns, plus bandwidth, hosting, reception, mailing, and office equipment are also available to onsite businesses.
 
 
The Quincy Center for Innovation (QCI) is a unique co-operative work environment located just 7 miles south of Boston.
